Dr. Miller grew up in California and attended both Gunn High School in Palo Alto and Marina High School in Huntington Beach. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA and UC Irvine. Dr. Miller received his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco.

After graduating, he practiced general dentistry for seven years, including five years with an Indian Health Center. He then returned to UCSF to complete his specialty training in orthodontics. Dr. Miller later maintained a successful orthodontic practice in Sunnyvale, California for many years.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Miller has consulted with a number of medical and dental companies.

Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren. His hobbies include traveling, hiking, biking, and scuba diving.
